Acupuncture
At Soma Wellness we place emphasis on high quality care and pride ourselves on tailoring each treatment to an individual basis.
Acupuncture focuses on treating the root or cause of the symptom and on bringing the body back into harmony and balance. This eliminates unwanted ailments and diseases. Being in a state of health helps you thrive in the face of environmental, physical, emotional and mental stresses. Health is an inner resiliency that allows you to meet the demands of everyday life. When this balance is found the body’s natural self-healing abilities are activated, enabling internal stability and harmony to occur. Acupuncture effectively eliminates the blockages from the body and restores balance promoting overall health and vitality.
What is Acupuncture?
An ancient Chinese pain remedy dating back more than 3,000 years, acupuncture is the practice of inserting very fine needles in strategic spots throughout the body in order to holistically manage pain. The Chinese version is rooted in the belief that the needles work to balance the body’s flow of energy; the Western variety is used to stimulate nerves, muscles and connective tissue.
The needlepoints that we use are very fine and used to evoke natural reactions in the body, not to cause pain. In fact many of those who receive acupuncture often report a deep feeling of relaxation and even go to sleep during the treatment. Our practioners have a wide experience with patients from all ages, birth to the silver years, and will adapt their approach to suit the patient and your comfort levels.
